Santo Domingo Este.– Mrs. Carolina Araujo, 33 years old, residing in the Mendoza sector, Santo Domingo Este, denounced having been the victim of an aggression by several people, in an event that occurred on December 7th, which she claims almost cost her life.

According to their testimony, five people were involved in the assault, identified as Meri Vinier, María Sánchez, Marielis Sánchez, Fraisy, and a brother of theirs. The complainant explained that the incident occurred while she was in front of her family's residence, accompanied by her sister and her one-year-and-eight-month-old son. She reported that the aggressors positioned themselves in the middle of the alleyway through which she had to cross to go to her mother's house.“I just crossed them in the middle, I didn't even touch them,” he indicated. However, he assured that minutes later, Mary Viniel threw a chair that directly impacted her youngest son, who fell to the ground face up.
Faced with the scene, Araujo approached the woman to reproach her for the aggression against her son, at which moment —according to her account— she was immediately attacked with bladed weapons by María Sánchez and Marielis Sánchez, receiving multiple injuries, while the other people involved also participated in the act. Araujo reported that he filed a formal complaint with this media outlet and the corresponding authorities, who —according to what he stated— are already working on the case. However, the victim demanded that justice be done and that those responsible be apprehended and brought to justice, assuring that they fear for their life and that of their family.
