Santo Domingo.– In the context of Valentine's Day, citizens expressed that they will dedicate the day to sharing with their partners, family, and friends, highlighting that the date not only celebrates romantic love, but also affective bonds in all their forms.

During tours of different points in the capital, several people stated that they will take advantage of the day to spend it with their special people.

Those who do not have a partner indicated that the date also represents an opportunity to show affection to close family members. Many chose to acquire details and gifts for mothers, aunts, sisters, cousins, and friends as a sign of affection and gratitude. “I will spend it with my wife and my sister who came from out of town, I will give each one a floral detail… To my sister whose name is Orchid, I will give an orchid”, said Mr. Pablo.
