The Special Commission that studied the project will present the final report this afternoon to the Senate plenary for its knowledge.

Main changes in the reform

Among the most relevant modifications is the extension of the deadline to notify a labor separation, which goes from 48 hours to five days. The measure seeks to provide greater legal certainty to the parties and facilitate compliance with procedures in cases of contract termination. In terms of sanctions, the amount of fines established in the previous version of the project is reduced by half. In addition, a proportionality criterion is introduced, adjusting the sanctions according to the size of the company, which represents a relief for micro and small productive units.
