Santo Domingo. – Senators from the ruling party and the opposition expressed their optimism this Tuesday that the amendment to the Labor Code will be approved in its first reading without setbacks, after a consensus was reached between the different sectors involved.
Senator for Santiago Rodríguez, Antonio Marte, stated that the legislative piece addresses the demands of both employees and employers.
"Everyone agrees... even the senators of the Fuerza del Pueblo," he expressed.
In the same vein, Senator Eduard Espíritusantos of the Fuerza del Pueblo confirmed that, as reported, the dismissal was included in the discussion and is part of the consensus.

The Special Commission that studied the project will present the final report this afternoon to the Senate plenary for its knowledge.
