- 1855. Spain and the Dominican Republic sign a treaty by which the former renounces all rights over the eastern part of the island and de facto recognizes the Caribbean nation.
- 1905. Dominican President Carlos Morales Languasco signs a financial pact with the United States, by virtue of which that nation would take control of Dominican customs to pay "equitably" to American and Dominican creditors.
- 1938. Dictator Rafael Trujillo proposes to Joaquín Balaguer to be chosen as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, by the members of that power of the State.
- 1958. In a "confidential memorandum" signed by Carlos Cornielle Jr., advisor to the University Guard and dentist José Enrique Aybar, considered a historical leader of the same, they recall that the university organization had emerged in 1937 and "disappeared around the year 1946".
- 1962. The US embassy declares that the mission of attaché Fred Anthony Somerford in the country is "to report on working conditions and existing labor organization", which in his opinion does not constitute interference in the internal affairs of the country.
- 1973. The Executive Branch decides to replace General Eliot Osiris Perdomo Rosario as Head of Operations against the guerrilla led by Colonel Caamaño Deño, by Generals Ramiro Matos González and Juan René Bouchamps Javier.
- 1974. President Joaquín Balaguer receives Mexican actor Mario Moreno (Cantinflas) in his office at the National Palace, who visits the country to perform in a show whose funds will be given to the Dominican Institute of Cardiology.
- 1996. The 189 occupants die, the majority German tourists returning to their country, when a Boeing 757 of the Turkish company Birgen Air crashes into the Atlantic, off the coast of Puerto Plata, after taking off from Gregorio Luperón airport.
- 2005. Some 133 inmates die as a result of a fire during a riot in the Higüey prison, this being the greatest prison tragedy in the history of the Dominican Republic.
- 2011. The trial against Sobeida Félix Morel and seven other defendants for money laundering from Puerto Rican drug trafficker José David Figueroa Agosto begins.
- 2015. In the Santo Domingo Este municipality, Mrs. Aracely Guzmán Martínez, 32 years old, gave birth to six babies, three girls and three boys, at the Materno Reynaldo Almánzar hospital.
- 2019. The Bicameral Commission that studies the Organic Law Project of the Electoral Regime concludes all its work, agreeing and approving the pending issues, whose report will be presented to the Plenary of the Senate of the Republic, to then be sent to the Chamber of Deputies.
- 2020. The authorities of the Colombian Interpol announce the formalization to extradite Dominican drug trafficker César Emilio Peralta “César el Abusador” from that South American country to the United States.
- -Almost all political leaders and various sectors of civil society demand, through the media, especially social networks, the resignation of the plenary of the Central Electoral Board, after the suspension of the municipal elections the previous day.
- 2022. The Ministry of Public Health announces the start throughout the country of the immunization against covid-19 of at least one million children aged five to 11 years, a process that will be carried out voluntarily in educational centers in coordination with the Ministry of Education.
- -The Constitutional Court announces the annulment of article 2 of decree 392-16, by which then-president Danilo Medina ordered the immediate suspension of operations for the sale or resale of properties in the Los Tres Brazos sector, of the National District, as a result of reports of irregularities.
