Announcing the twelfth edition of the Carrefour 10K race

Santo Domingo. The twelfth edition of the traditional Carrefour 10K race was officially announced during a press conference held at the Downtown Center shopping mall, where executives from Carrefour Dominicana offered details of the sporting event that will take place on Sunday, April 26, at 7:00 in the morning. True to its commitment to the well-being, health, and healthy recreation of the population, Carrefour is working on the assembly of this new edition corresponding to the year 2026, in which the participation of about 3,500 runners is expected. The race will start again from Downtown Center, located on Nunez de Caceres Avenue corner Romulo Betancourt, from where the participants will run a new route that will include sections of Anacaona and Jimenez Moya avenues, descending towards the Malecon of Santo Domingo until reaching the finish line on George Washington Avenue, at the height of Vista del Mar park, thus completing the 10 regulatory kilometers. Support for social causes

As part of its social responsibility program, the fair will support the work of the Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation (FACCI) and the Oír para Vivir Foundation. FACCI is a non-profit organization founded in 2003, dedicated to supporting the comprehensive treatment of children and adolescents with cancer treated at the Dr. Robert Reid Cabral Children's Hospital and other health centers in the country. Meanwhile, the Oír para Vivir Foundation works for people with hearing disabilities in vulnerable conditions, providing hearing aids and educational tools that help improve their quality of life.

Registrations

Registrations are open until Friday, April 24, through the SDCTickets portal (www.sdctickets.do) or in person at Carrefour on Autopista Duarte and at Carrefour Market in Downtown Center. The registration cost is RD$1,900.00, of which a percentage will be allocated to FACCI and the Oír para Vivir Foundation. Each participant will receive a kit that includes an official Dry-Fit t-shirt, bib number (BIB), timing chip, official bag, and sponsor articles.
