MESCyT unveils a new interactive tool that will help students analyze academic options and make better decisions

The platform integrates official data from universities, scholarships, and enrollment in an interactive and freely accessible dashboard Santo Domingo. – The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) presented an innovative institutional statistics dashboard, an interactive tool that consolidates official data from the higher education system and will be available on its website. The initiative is part of the Statistical Dashboards Ecosystem, developed to strengthen transparency, evidence-based management, and decision-making in academia. During the presentation, Minister Franklin García Fermín highlighted the strategic value of the new system: "What we want to show you is an innovation developed by the Planning and Development Department together with the Technology Department of our Ministry. It is a statistics section within the MSIM platform, where users will be able to access a dashboard and an updated repository of official publications." The dashboard integrates key information from the 57 higher education institutions active in the country, as well as their campuses, centers, and extensions. It also allows you to visualize data on enrollments, income, new enrollments, national and international scholarships, and other essential variables for system analysis.

García Fermín highlighted that the dashboard will be constantly updated: "Every year, new reports from institutions will be integrated, and we will continue creating dashboards on research, scientific publications, and other strategic topics. This tool will allow everyone, from authorities to researchers, to access reliable data without the need to request separate reports." Likewise, the Ministry reported that universities are already being trained to report data through the CNSC system, which will allow for the automation of periodic updates and ensure greater accuracy and timeliness in the information. The MESCyT reiterated that this launch reaffirms its commitment to technological modernization, institutional transparency, and the strengthening of the Dominican higher education system.
