Montecristi will debut an airport that will transform it into a tourist and industrial hub, Abinader announces

Montecristi. – President Luis Abinader announced that the Montecristi airport will be a key axis for the economic and tourist development of the region, benefiting both industrial projects and the cruise and tourism industry. During the inauguration of the Manzanillo Power Land, Abinader explained that the airport will become a strategic base for the tourism projects in the north of the country, complementing initiatives such as the multimodal port under construction and the free zones for technology exports. The president highlighted that along with the Santiago airport, the one in Montecristi will strengthen air connectivity and boost the arrival of tourists and logistics for local production.

“Montecristi airport will serve as a platform to consolidate the development of the region, generate quality jobs and diversify the local economy”, indicated Abinader, highlighting that the infrastructure will be complemented by improvements to the port and other industrial projects that will promote trade and investment in the area. The Head of State said that these actions are part of a comprehensive plan to transform Montecristi into a sustainable development hub, where energy, tourism, industry, and commerce converge, ensuring economic and social benefits for the local population.
