Azua. – The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) began this Monday the asphalt laying works in several sections of the Sánchez Highway, in the city of Azua de Compostela, as part of the road infrastructure improvement plan being carried out by the Government.
The work is carried out under the instructions of the Minister of Public Works, Eduardo Estrella, and includes the section from Los Pilones to the entrance of Azua, as well as from Parque 19 de Marzo to kilometer 15 of the Sánchez highway.
This intervention is part of the actions promoted by the Government of President Luis Abinader, with the support of the Provincial Government of Azua, headed by María Minerva Navarro, and local authorities, for the benefit of residents and drivers who use this important communication route.

The information was provided by the architect Wader Rossó Ramírez, provincial director of the MOPC, who explained that these works aim to improve connectivity, strengthen road safety, and contribute to the economic and social development of the province.
