The Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED) confirmed that a major fault occurred in the National Interconnected Electric System (SENI) in the morning, affecting the service in part of the national territory.
However, the company is unaware of the cause of the failure and the time of the possible system recovery, more than an hour and 30 minutes after the start of the failure, which originated at 10:50 in the morning.
However, he indicated that emergency protocols were activated and our technical teams, in coordination with the Coordinating Body, distributors and generation companies, are working continuously on the progressive and safe recovery of the system.
He also said that the priority is to guarantee an orderly replacement that preserves national electrical stability and that they will be offering official updates through their institutional channels.
