Azua. – The judge of the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of Azua ordered three months of preventive detention against Yeison, alias “Popita”, who will serve the measure in the Najayo Hombres Correction and Rehabilitation Center.
"Popita" was on the run after escaping police custody, after being accused of the death of two people. His escape generated a wide search nationwide until he was finally recaptured by the National Police.
Also linked in the case are three officers who participated in his transfer and two women, who were subjected to less severe coercive measures, including financial guarantee, periodic reporting, and a ban on leaving the country.

The court's decision seeks to ensure the continuity of the judicial process and establish responsibilities regarding the escape of the accused.
