Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET), forecast that for this Wednesday, the weather conditions will be under the influence of the northeast wind flow and local orographic effects. In that sense, both conditions will cause cloudiness from morning hours, followed by moderate showers at times towards the north, northeast slopes, Cibao Valley and the eastern plain. Such as: Puerto Plata, Espaillat, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Samaná, Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Altagracia, Sánchez Ramírez, Santo Domingo, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega and San Cristóbal. For the rest of the country, mostly sunny conditions are expected. For tomorrow, Thursday, the effects of the moderate northeast wind flow, and the presence of a trough northeast of the island, will be generating cloud increases from early hours of the day, with intermittent showers of moderate character at times over locations in the provinces of: La Altagracia, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Puerto Plata, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, La Romana, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, La Vega and Santiago.

Temperatures will feel pleasant to cool at night and early morning, especially over mountainous areas and the valleys of the interior of the country, where episodes of fog and mist could also occur, due to the time of year (winter), especially in areas of Barahona, the San Juan valley, Neiba, and the Cibao. National District: isolated clouds becoming cloudy in the afternoon with occasional showers. Santo Domingo Norte: cloudy in the afternoon with scattered showers. Santo Domingo Este: Isolated clouds to partly cloudy in the afternoon with weak showers. Santo Domingo Oeste: sunny in the morning with increasing cloudiness in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures between 18 °C and 20 °C and a maximum between 27 °C and 29 °C. Summary: Mostly sunny weather over a large part of the country, with isolated showers in several locations in the north, northeast, the Cibao Valley and the eastern plain… cool and pleasant temperatures at night and early morning. This coming Friday, an atmosphere of reduced humidity associated with the presence of a high-pressure system over our region will be affecting us.
