Washington.- United States President Donald Trump ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi to request the death penalty in Washington DC in all cases that meet the "applicable factors", in another measure justified under the federal takeover of the capital due to the alleged "uncontrolled crime" it is going through.
With this memorandum, Trump seeks to revive the death penalty in the capital, which had been abolished in 1981.
The order stipulates that the Attorney General for the District of Columbia shall seek the death penalty in all judicial proceedings where "applicable factors" exist.
Furthermore, add that giving priority to this measure deserves special attention in the face of the "threats to public safety" facing the city.
