Los Angeles.- American actor Eric Dane, famous for his work in series like 'Grey's Anatomy' or 'Euphoria' and who announced in April that he suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), indicated this Monday that he lost total control of his right arm. "It has completely stopped working," she said in an interview on the Good Morning America program. Dane, 52, stated he was worried about how the progression of the disease could affect his other limbs. "I have a functional arm. My dominant side. My left side works, my right side has stopped working completely. I feel that perhaps in a couple of months I may not be able to have my left hand either. It's worrying," he pointed out.

The actor recalled that before being diagnosed, he noticed a loss of sensitivity but didn't give it special importance, thinking that perhaps he had used the mobile phone too much and that his hand was tired. "A few weeks later I noticed it had gotten a little worse. So I went to see a hand specialist, who sent me to another specialist. I went to see a neurologist, who sent me to another one and told me: "This is far beyond my professional level," he added. After nine months, he was informed that he had ALS: "I will never forget those three letters," the actor, who is married and father of two teenagers aged 15 and 13, emphasized. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects motor neurons, that is, the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscles, such as walking, speaking, swallowing, or even breathing.
