Dominicans Shine with Nominations at Premios Juventud 2025

Dominican artists S stand out with nominations for Premios Juventud 2025, strengthening the country's presence in international awards.

Santo Domingo.- Dominican music once again has significant representation at the Premios Juventud 2025, with seven artists from the country included among the nominees and a digital content creator. The ceremony will be held on September 25th in Panama City, marking the first time this event takes place outside the United States.

The Dominican artists nominated this year are Natti Natasha, Tokischa, Yailin La Más Viral, El Alfa, Prince Royce, Lomiiel and Oro Sólido. In addition to them is the content creator Jessica Judith Ortiz, nominated in the category “Creator of the Year” and the music producer Puyalo Pantera for his collaboration with Yailin “Bing Bong”.

Each one participates in different categories ranging from collaborations and tropical songs to emerging proposals of the urban genre.

Natti Natasha is featured in several categories, including "Tropical Hit" with her song "Desde Hoy" and "Best Dance Track" alongside Deorro and Play-N-Skillz. Furthermore, her presence in "Artista Premios Juventud del Año" solidifies her position within the music industry.

Tokischa is nominated in the "Girl Power" category for her collaboration with Bad Gyal and Young Miko on the song "Chulo pt.2". Her nomination highlights the international reach of the Dominican urban movement and its influence on high-profile collaborative productions.

Yailin La Más Viral is nominated in two categories: “The New Female Generation” and “Best Urban Track” with her single “Bing Bong”. Her inclusion marks a continuity in the projection of new female voices from the country within the urban genre.

Alongside Yailin, the musical producer, Púyalo Pantera, also Dominican, stands out, who collaborated with her in the conception of the great urban hit, “Bing Bong.”

Lomiiel, also from the urban genre, stands out in the "Best Urban Track" category with his song Hay Lupita, establishing himself as a new figure of Dominican dembow with international projection.

El Alfa, a regular representative of dembow, appears in the category “OMG Collaboration” with the song “Tonight (Bad Boys: Ride Or Die)” alongside Black Eyed Peas and Becky G.

Prince Royce is also among the nominees with his song “How Deep Is Your Love” in the “Tropical Hit” category and with his album “Eterno” in “Best Tropical Album”.

The inclusion of Oro Sólido, legendary merengue artist, reinforces the diversity of Dominican talent at the event.
Oro Sólido participates in the "Tropical Mix" category with "El Caballito".

These nominations represent a platform for visibility for the Dominican music industry in the Latin American context and for its artists of different genres and generations.

The presence of artists from the country in various categories reinforces the positioning of Dominican urban and tropical music as one of the most influential in the region.

Premios Juventud 2025 will be broadcast live on Univision, UniMás, Galavisión and ViX, and will allow the public to vote for their favorite artists until September 1st.
