INVEROTEL President congratulates David Collado on achievements at FITUR

The CEO of the Piñero group states that she witnessed how her strategic vision is raising the standard of the sector Santo Domingo.- The president of Inverotel, an association that brings together the 16 Spanish families that own hotels in the country and Mexico, expressed her congratulations to the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, for the outstanding participation of the Dominican Republic in the FITUR tourism fair, which was recently held in Madrid, Spain. Also CEO of the Piñero group, Encarna Piñero, said that she witnessed the extraordinary work carried out by Minister Collado and his team at the important tourism fair in Spain. "We are witnessing how his strategic vision is raising the industry standard. A path marked by the drive to diversify and de-seasonalize tourism, supported by the richness of its gastronomy, its culture, its natural spaces and the potential of sports tourism, with top-level tournaments," Piñero wrote on his social media. The businesswoman highlighted the work done by Collado to achieve a powerful public-private partnership in the tourism sector, which has guaranteed the growth of the industry in the country.

After expressing his "most sincere congratulations" to Minister Collado for the results obtained by the country at FITUR, Piñero highlighted how impressive the Dominican stand was at that tourism fair in Spain. "Their stand not only caught everyone's eye, but was a true reflection of a country that is consolidating itself as the great tourist reference in the Caribbean," Encarna Piñero emphasized. It is recalled that the Dominican Republic reaffirmed its leadership at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2026, closing with negotiations for more than US$13.37 billion, which is equivalent to approximately RD$885.68 billion.
