Jorge Asjana David visits Dr. Salvador B. Gautier Hospital

Santo Domingo.- Doctor Jorge Asjana David, candidate for rector of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) for the period 2026-2030, made a visit this Wednesday, June 11, to the Hospital Docente Dr. Salvador B. Gautier, with the aim of strengthening cooperation ties in view of a future management as rector of the Primada de América. Asjana was received by the director of the aforementioned hospital center, doctor Armando José Holguín Núñez; the deputy director, doctor Vladimir Socías Abreu; and doctor Mingkikgueis Marrle, head of the Orthopedics area. The welcoming words were given by doctor Fredis Reyes. Addressing the attending teaching doctors, the candidate for rector of UASD defined the Salvador B. Gautier hospital as a training center for specialized human resources in health for more than 60 years.

Asjana pointed out that, starting in June 2026, she will work in coordination with the officials of that health center to continue streamlining its academic structure and functioning, highlighting that said hospital has always had undergraduate and postgraduate students, interns, and university professors. "We are committed to strengthening areas where there are no teachers, such as the cardiology area... and expanding our presence in Nursing, Pharmacy, among others," emphasized Asjana David, candidate for rector. Doctor Asjana David was accompanied by the general coordinator of the Asjana Rector project, Amparo Céspedes, as well as Rosel Fernández, Ángel Nadal, Gleni Delgado, among others.
