Sabana Yegua, Azua. – The intense rains recorded in the last few hours caused the overflow of a lateral canal that originates from the Ysura Canal, which has generated floods in several communities of Sabana Yegua. Families have had to abandon their homes because the water entered their homes, affecting furniture, belongings, and crops.

The overflow has also caused disruptions to access routes, hindering the transit of vehicles and school transport. Local authorities and relief agencies are deployed in the area, coordinating the evacuation of the most affected residents and carrying out cleaning work to minimize damage.

A call is made to the population to remain calm, follow the instructions of the emergency teams, and avoid traveling through flooded areas to prevent accidents. The authorities warn that the level of rainfall could remain for the next few hours, so it is necessary to take extreme precautions.
