Motorcyclist dies after being struck in Queens; driver flees the scene

New York.— A young motorcyclist lost his life in Queens after being hit by a vehicle whose driver left the scene, authorities reported.

The incident occurred on Monday night at an intersection in the Queens neighborhood. According to the police report, the victim, a man of Latino origin, was riding a motorcycle when he was hit by a car. After the crash, the driver of the vehicle involved did not stop and fled the scene.
