Three people injured in traffic accident in Monte Plata

Monte Plata.-Last night, this Friday, a traffic accident occurred on the Juan Pablo II Highway, at kilometer 43, which resulted in three people injured and two vehicles were involved.

According to the preliminary report offered by the General Directorate of Transit and Terrestrial Transportation, DIGESETT, the collision involved a white Honda CR-V jeep, license plate G715144, driven by the American citizen Javier López Fernández, 29 years of age, who was injured and was transferred to the Provincial Hospital Dr. Ángel Contreras.

The second vehicle was a white Hyundai Sonata car, license plate AA02307, driven by Kelvin Peña Parra, a 30-year-old Dominican, residing in the province of María Trinidad Sánchez.

National Police units and health personnel arrived at the scene, providing emergency care and coordinating the transfer of the injured to the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances that caused the accident, while the vehicles remain in custody for investigation purposes.
