Vice President receives diaspora students and reinforces commitment to education abroad

The meeting took place within the framework of the International Diploma in Geopolitics, Diplomacy and Consular Management, developed by CESUDEX and PUCMM, with the aim of strengthening the academic training of the Dominican diaspora. Santo Domingo.– Within the framework of the International Diploma in Geopolitics, Diplomacy and Consular Management, taught by the Center for Technology and Permanent Education (TEP) of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and the Center for Integral Education Abroad (CESUDEX), a group of Dominican students residing in the United States carried out an academic tour of various institutions of the Dominican Republic from September 10 to 12.

One of the most significant moments was the visit to the Presidential Palace, where the students were received by Vice President Raquel Peña, and the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza. Both highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the country and the diaspora, and expressed the government's willingness to support programs that allow Dominicans abroad to complete their university studies and contribute to national development.

The agenda also included visits to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), the Chamber of Deputies, the Telemicro television group and PUCMM itself, where participants had the opportunity to get a close look at the functioning of the main state, academic and media structures of the country.
