Santo Domingo. – A trough approaching the Dominican territory will be the main meteorological phenomenon to take into account starting Wednesday, when it will generate increases in cloudiness and showers in the northeast, southeast and the border area. This was reported by the meteorologist of the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), Henry Agaramonte.

Meanwhile, for this weekend the country and a large part of the Central Caribbean will remain under the influence of a solid high-pressure system located in the Atlantic Ocean waters, which maintains a stable, dry environment with little chance of significant rainfall.

Agaramonte explained that only due to the effects of the northeast wind could isolated showers occur during the morning hours, especially in María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná, Monseñor Nouel and nearby areas. These events will be of short duration and without significant accumulations. For the afternoon, a sky between clear and slightly cloudy is expected in most of the country's provinces, with a very low probability of precipitation. This same pattern will continue tomorrow, as the high-pressure system's influence is maintained. The meteorologist also highlighted that there are no restrictions on the coasts, and that temperatures will remain pleasant during the day and night due to the influence of the northeast wind associated with the same system.
