Thai businessman Nawat Itsaragrisil, director of the Miss Universe Thailand Organization and who was part of the controversial Miss Universe 2025 beauty pageant, accused of being fraudulent, would have reported the winner of that event, the Mexican Fátima Bosch. According to various Mexican and international media, the controversial businessman, who starred in a heated discussion with Miss Mexico in the days before the competition during an event with the event's competitors, would have reported Bosch for alleged defamation. Itsaragrisil, who is also the president of Miss Grand International, was accused by Bosch of having humiliated her in public and of calling her "stupid" in front of the other candidates. The incident occurred at an internal event that was recorded on video and quickly leaked to social media. In the recording, it is seen when Nawat, with an authoritative tone, makes claims to Bosch for supposedly not wanting to participate in all the activities of Miss Universe, especially those that force the misses to promote Thailand as a tourist destination. The situation escalates between the two rapidly, and while the businessman tries to silence the Mexican woman, he threatens to expel her and those who support her from the contest. After the scandal went viral on social media, Nawat offered a public apology for his behavior towards the contestants, but did not directly mention the Mexican representative. "If someone feels bad, if someone feels uncomfortable, if someone is affected, I apologize," expressed the businessman and also media personality in Thailand.

"For personal benefit"

According to the press, the complaint filed by the Thai businessman against Miss Mexico and current Miss Universe 2025, was presented on November 12, at the Watphrayakhrai police station, south of Bangkok. The Mexican media Radio Fórmula indicates that through a statement from Miss Universe Thailand, which is disseminated on social media by users, it is warned that Itsaragrisil "never called Miss Fátima Bosch 'stupid.' What she said was 'damage,' which is clearly heard in the voice recordings that have already circulated on various platforms." In the letter, they allege that the man said the following: "If you follow the order of your national director, you will do damage ('damage'); if not, you can do it." The word that, according to Nawat's defense, was misinterpreted by Bosch was "'damage'", who would have heard "'dumbhead'". For this reason, the statement indicates that when Bosch found out that Nawat had not called her "stupid", she "did not apologize" and continued to say "falsely" and "in multiple interviews" that he had insulted her. Thus, "apparently for personal gain", Miss Mexico continues to give interviews in which she "misrepresents the incident and repeatedly defames Mr. Nawat".
