The community members and agricultural producers of Villa Jaragua have made an urgent appeal to the relevant authorities, especially the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) and the Technical Executive Unit for Agricultural Development Projects (UTEPDA), to take urgent measures regarding the critical state of the roads in the area.

These roads, currently impassable, represent a high risk of accidents, endangering both farmers and their products.

According to testimonies from community leaders such as Mario Carvajal and Josserand Herasme, who expressed their concern during their program “Conversado, el Podcast”, the situation is unsustainable. The lack of maintenance and the deterioration of the roads severely affect the ability of producers to transport their agricultural products to the markets, which not only impacts their economy, but also the availability of food in the region.

The most affected communities include El Valle, Los Caballos, Hierba Buena, Cañada Buena, Los Mosquitos and El Naranjo, among others. These routes are vital for local economic activity, and their poor condition could have long-term repercussions on the agricultural development of the area.

Authorities are being urged to take action and work together with the residents to find effective solutions that guarantee road safety and facilitate the transportation of agricultural products. Producers are hoping for a prompt response that alleviates their situation and improves living conditions in the community.

It is imperative that the director of UTEPDA, Frank Herasme, listen to this collective voice and act quickly to restore access to these vital communication routes. The safety and well-being of agricultural producers depend on it.
