Citizens unaware of changes announced by President Abinader

Santo Domingo.– President Luis Abinader recently announced a series of changes in his cabinet through a new decree, including appointments in the ministries of Agriculture, Women, the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) and the Social Policy Cabinet. According to the president, the measure seeks to strengthen the management of strategic sectors and improve the efficiency of the State. However, a survey conducted by the De Último Minuto team on the streets of Santo Domingo reveals that the majority of citizens are unaware of these changes. According to those interviewed, they were at their jobs or running errands, so they had not had the opportunity to find out about the decrees and their scope.

"I understand that, if they are for benefits, changes are always positive. We cannot resist change," expressed citizen. On the other hand, some people asserted that, despite not knowing the details, they believe the changes could be positive and benefit the country.
