New York.- The dating app Tinder announced that it will incorporate more artificial intelligence (AI) into its platform to create 'more personalized' matches and make smarter recommendations to users.
In a statement, the company announced this Friday that it launched its Chemistry pilot function in the United States and Canada, based on artificial intelligence, which offers daily profile recommendations to users based on their interests.
"Through questions and answers and optional functions like 'CameraRoll Scan,' Tinder can better understand your personality, your style, and what matters to you to offer more relevant 'matches'," noted the company.
Thus, Chemistry analyzes patterns in the photo reels shared by the application's users and offers information to other users about their interests, lifestyle, or personality.
Tinder gives the opportunity to get to know a 'match' better
On the other hand, Tinder will promote a new initiative called Tinder Connect that allows more applications to be integrated into its profile, in addition to Spotify.
For example, the application will allow users to include data from platforms like Duolingo to showcase their various interests, from languages to gastronomy, and thus facilitate conversations.
In addition, it will also include AI-powered functions and tools such as Photo Enhance or Visual Interests, which will improve the quality of photos uploaded to the profile.
The application will also redesign Music Mode "to facilitate connections through shared musical tastes" and incorporate Astrology Mode, a tool that will allow users to connect based on their astrological compatibility.
It will also launch a new beta feature to discover in-person events "and connect outside the app," starting in Los Angeles, and verified users will be able to have speed video dates.
Safety, a Priority
The company will also reinforce its security tools with improvements to its "Are you sure?" and "Does this bother you?" functions, which detect inappropriate or offensive messages.
"We are building the Tinder experience alongside a generation that wants dating to be more authentic, without pressure, and that truly deserves their time," notes MatchGroup and Tinder CEO, Spencer Rascoff, in the statement.
Rascoff emphasizes that the application is "expanding the ways people can start a connection," with formats and experiences in the real world and more personalized profiles.
"We use AI to discover more relevant connections and continue to raise the standard in security," he adds.
