Santo Domingo. – President Luis Abinader led this Saturday the XII graduation of the Oportunidad 14-24 program, in which 4,026 young people completed their technical training process in different areas aimed at facilitating their insertion into the labor market.
The graduates are part of the group corresponding to the July-December 2025 period and received training through 58 program centers located in 10 provinces and the National District, covering territories such as Santo Domingo, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, Peravia, San José de Ocoa, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Romana and La Altagracia.You may be interested in: http://Raquel Peña resalta el aporte de las mujeres en la salud durante gala “Premio Armida” en Santiago
During the training process, participants received training in 32 training paths designed to respond to the needs of the labor market and strengthen the employability and entrepreneurship opportunities of young people. The coordinator of the Social Policy Cabinet of the Dominican Republic, Geanilda Vásquez, highlighted the importance of this type of initiative to promote the development of communities and expand opportunities for youth, especially in vulnerable sectors. Likewise, the program director, Alex Mordán, highlighted the evolution that the initiative has had since its creation, with the aim of transforming the reality of young people who do not study or work, providing them with access to technical training, employment, and personal development.
