Michelle Wells, the baseball player's mother, stated that both she and her family are very happy to see her son represent his grandfather's country, Luis Felipe Fernández Mena, in the international tournament. "Hello, I am Michelle Wells, the mother of Austin Wells, and my family and I are very happy that Austin is playing for my father and his grandfather Luis Felipe Fernández Mena's country, and the Dominican Republic national baseball team," she expressed.
