Macabre discovery in Colombia: a marijuana grower hid a collection of human skulls

Colombia.-In the last few hours, a police raid in upper-class neighborhoods of the capital of Córdoba ended with a disturbing discovery: human bones, including 10 skulls. The raid, carried out under the orders of Federal Court No. 1 of the city, targeted a group of clandestine growers and possible dealers around a marijuana grow shop, a store dedicated to the sale of cultivation articles, with an investigation that began in July 2025. So, the local Anti-Drug Division of the PFA, which depends on the Superintendency of Investigation against Drug Trafficking, raided the grow shop and three other targets, located in areas such as Los Paraísos and Alta Córdoba. 37 plants in full bloom were seized, 410 seeds, distributed in vacuum-packed packages, Dozo Live Rosin vaporizers -which cost about $150,000 on the market and contain THC-A, a synthetic form of THC more potent than natural- and two bags loaded with buds.

The price jump for these vapes is exponential: last November, the same vapes did not exceed $90,000 in the semi-clandestine market. The PFA also found almost half a million pesos in cash. The bones were, precisely, in one of the points with the greatest amount of plants, the house of a 35-year-old man dedicated in ARCA's papers to online commerce. The origin of the skulls doesn't seem to be the problem. Researchers agree that they are typical lacquered bones, belonging to the collection of a medical student. At least two have their skullcaps sawed. Even so, one of these skulls presented a surprising feature: it was covered in melted candle wax, white and black, with a metal crucifix glued between the eyes. By its shape, it looks like that of a child. The suspicion, for the moment, is that the bones could be resold on social media for ritual use. The finding of synthetic THC vaporizers is a recurring figure in operations around groups nucleated in grow shops. In November of last year, a case of the Federal Justice of Morón, investigated by the PFA, ended with 340 of these devices seized. By order of Judge Jorge Rodríguez, the Division of Chemical Precursors and Emerging Drugs of the Superintendency of Investigations against Drug Trafficking - which depends on the new DFI - raided 17 homes between Del Viso, San Nicolás, a charming house in a Castelar country club and a series of grow shops, coincidentally, in Córdoba capital, after an offer of THC vaporizers in Instagram posts, made with little dissimulation.
