Jerusalem.- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the Army on Saturday to attack the Shiite group Hezbollah in Lebanon "forcefully." "Prime Minister Netanyahu has ordered the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to strike Hizbulah targets in Lebanon with force," his office said in a brief message. The announcement comes after this Saturday the Israeli Army reported two projectiles and a drone launched from Lebanon towards Israeli territory, which it described as a "flagrant violation" by the Shiite group Hezbollah of the current ceasefire, in which daily Israeli attacks occur in Lebanese territory. In another statement, the Israeli army reported that it continues to attack Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, including a weapons depot. "The IDF will continue to act forcefully against threats directed at the Israeli civilian population and its soldiers, in accordance with the guidelines of the political high command," says the note, published before Netanyahu's announcement. At least four people died this Saturday in two Israeli air strikes against a truck and a motorcycle in a city in southern Lebanon, despite the three-week truce announced by the United States early Friday morning.

The Israeli Army also warned today the Lebanese displaced from the south of the country not to return to their homes in about sixty localities because their troops remain positioned there, and reported that during the weekend (which in Israel falls on Friday and Saturday) its troops killed more than 15 alleged members of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, where they maintain an occupied strip. According to Lebanese health authorities, at least 2,491 people have died and another 7,719 have been injured in that country due to attacks by Israel since Hezbollah resumed launching projectiles against Israel starting March 2, in response to US and Israeli attacks against Iran undertaken at the end of February.
