María Luisa Molina sues Richard Hernández for alleged defamation

Santo Domingo, RD - Venezuelan communicator María Luisa Molina initiated legal action against entertainment journalist Richard Hernández after considering several comments made on the radio program "Al Pelo Radio" defamatory. The situation has generated reactions in the local entertainment field due to the public confrontation between both figures. According to the summons presented by Molina, the statements made by Hernández during a broadcast on May 19th would have directly affected her reputation and professional performance. The legal document establishes that the communicator allegedly used offensive expressions and accusations considered harmful against the presenter and model.

The lawsuit also indicates that the content was replicated on digital platforms linked to the radio space, which would have increased the dissemination of the statements. The legal action is based on provisions of Dominican legislation related to defamation, insult, and dissemination of content through electronic means, established in the Law on Expression and Dissemination of Thought. After the intimation was made public, Hernández reacted publicly by refusing to retract his words. The journalist maintained his position on what he had said and assured that this is the first time he has faced a legal warning since he began his career in entertainment media more than a decade ago, calling Molina "ungrateful". During his response, the commentator stated that Molina's action would be motivated by personal differences that arose after her divorce. In addition, he recalled that they both maintained work ties when she was beginning to develop in Dominican television after arriving in the country.
