SANTO DOMINGO. – A traffic accident between three heavy vehicles occurred this Tuesday on the Circunvalación Santo Domingo, at the height of the Los Cocos sector, generating traffic congestion in the vicinity of the toll section 2 and the adjacent links.
According to the Military and Police Commission of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (Comipolrd), the trucks involved were transporting various materials, including plastic cargo, wood, and cement. The incident left several drivers with minor injuries, who were assisted at the scene by rapid response units.

The accident caused significant delays on the road, so Comipol teams quickly mobilized to provide assistance and regulate traffic flow. In addition, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (Digesettrd), the removal of the damaged trucks began with the aim of restoring circulation safely as soon as possible. Authorities urged drivers to exercise caution when traveling through the area while cleanup and vehicle removal work is completed.
