Businessman Santiago Matías reported that he made a formal request to YouTube to limit access in Venezuela to his new and ambitious project Planeta Alofoke during a live broadcast on the night of this Monday of Alofoke Radio Show. In that context, Matías assured that he will not give Venezuelan citizens the opportunity to participate as contestants in the reality show Planeta Alofoke, which is scheduled to premiere on April 13th. However, he clarified that he will have Venezuelan talent within the production team, highlighting their professionalism. Nevertheless, he stated that he will not repeat the experience of including Venezuelan participants, after what happened in previous seasons of La Casa de Alofoke, where Giuseppe Begnini Arcia and Diosa Canales participated.

"YouTube, I asked you to limit it today, I asked that in my most successful project, with God almighty, Planeta Alofoke, all Venezuelan citizens be excluded as participants. Yes in the production, because they are excellent, but I am not going to make the mistake of adding them again as participants. All Venezuelan citizens are excluded... I have to generalize because they have hit me," he expressed.

Faced with the stance of the Venezuelan communicator Jessica Pereira, residing in the Dominican Republic, who asked him not to generalize, Matías responded that he is not concerned, alleging that many Venezuelans have crossed personal boundaries against him, including attacks against his family. "They took a photo of my grandmother before she died and said how many men she had a sexual encounter with. To that point of disrespect. I have been calm because I haven't gone personal; if I go personal, I'm going to give them problems," he stated.
Matías also maintained that in the Dominican Republic there is no atmosphere of xenophobia as in other countries, as some of his detractors have wanted to claim, explaining that his initial comments on the conflict arose in a tone of joke and sarcasm. He even pointed out that he went so far as to say that a possible victory for Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic would also be a Dominican triumph, after the elimination of the national team. Regarding the decision to limit access to Venezuelans and not allow them to participate in their project, he made it clear that this arises after the scandal and controversy generated after the World Baseball Classic, where the businessman had a dispute with the baseball player Maykel García. This confrontation provoked a wave of comments from Venezuelans in different parts of the world, intensifying the controversy between nationalities. Finally, the businessman acknowledged that, after the controversy, he understands the position of the baseball player Maykel García, indicating that he represented his country. However, he criticized those who, according to him, wrongly assumed that the Venezuelan players reflected Dominican interests. "In the end, an action brings a reaction," he concluded.
