London.- The British broadcaster BBC has commissioned a documentary about the behind-the-scenes story of the million-dollar diamond robbery that Kim Kardashian suffered in Paris in 2016 and for which six of the eight defendants were convicted on May 23, the company announced this Friday.
The piece, which will be broadcast at the end of this month, will feature interviews "with family friends, police officers and journalists who followed the case" and seeks to "transport viewers to that fateful night when the American reality TV star was the victim of an armed robbery," the network explained in a statement.
The documentary will reveal "new details and perspectives" about what happened, and will unveil the story up to the moment when Kim "faced her robbers in court last month".

"This documentary offers a perspective on one of the most publicized crimes of our time, committed against one of the most famous women on the planet, which will delve into the facts behind the gossip and explore the price of fame in the digital age," said BBC Three's content director, Nasfim Haque.
Produced by Firecracker, it will be broadcast on BBC Three and BBC One, and will also be available on BBC iPlayer, the online on-demand content platform of the British public broadcaster.
