Dajabón. - The Dominican Republic Army (ERD) intercepted five Dominican motorcyclists who were transporting 18 Haitian nationals in an irregular migratory condition, during an interdiction operation carried out in the La Ciénega and Los Arroyos sectors of Dajabón.
The detainees were identified as Ariel Natanael González Bueno, who was driving an Eco Speed CG150 motorcycle, black in color, transporting 4 Haitians, Ángel Gabriel Franco Estévez, X1000 CG150 motorcycle, blue in color, with the same number of undocumented individuals.
In the operation, Yunior Gutierre Jiménez, a black Super Gato CG200 motorcycle with 4 Haitian migrants, Yeuris Herarte Fernández, a red Tauro CG200 motorcycle, also with 4 Haitians, and Fernando Antonio Valdez Galán, a black Tauro CG200 motorcycle, with another 2 foreigners in an irregular migratory condition, were also arrested.
In total, there were 18 Haitian nationals, of whom 7 are men, 10 are women, and one is a minor, who were transferred under custody to the 10th Infantry Battalion of the ERD, for the corresponding legal purposes.
While the five detained motorcyclists will be sent before the Public Ministry for trafficking of undocumented immigrants.
