!Attention Parents! The Thousand Bonus will be available this week

Santo Domingo.- The Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, informed that starting this week, the delivery of the "Bono a Mil" will begin, corresponding to the 2025-2026 school year, a program that will benefit more than one million students in the pre-university public education system. The announcement was made at the weekly meeting with the press, led by President Luis Abinader, where he highlighted the advances and challenges of the national education system. De Camps explained that the parents or guardians of the students can claim the aid through the official platforms of the Banco de Reservas.

The program, Bono a Mil, has been implemented since 2023, granting a one-time payment of RD$1,000 pesos for each student enrolled and active in public schools. Beneficiaries will receive a text message with a Banreservas Remittances code, which will allow them to withdraw the money at any of its commercial offices. The start of the 2025-2026 school year was led this Monday by President Abinader and Minister De Camps at the Casandra Damirón Educational Center for the Arts, in Santo Domingo East. On this occasion, the school year began with an enrollment of 2,062,061 students in the public sector.
