San Cristóbal. – The Christian Pharmacy celebrated its 60th anniversary this Thursday, August 28th, in an emotional and elegant cocktail party held in the hall of the Provincial Government of San Cristóbal, an event that brought together prominent personalities from the business, community, and social spheres of the province.
Founded in 1965 as a modest family business, Farmacia Cristiana has become an icon of service and trust in the region, consolidating a network of 11 branches and a contact center, which day by day carefully attend to the health needs of the population.
The welcome remarks were given by the general manager, José Francisco Martich, who highlighted that the company's trajectory is the result of a sustained collective effort over time. "Sixty years are not reached by chance. This anniversary is the result of faith in God, the tireless effort of my parents, and the dedication of each person who, in one way or another, has contributed to making Farmacia Cristiana what it is today: an institution of service, trust, and commitment to the health of our people," Martich indicated.
The keynote speech was delivered by the president of the Board of Directors, José Francisco Montás, who highlighted the legacy built over six decades of history and emphasized the commitment, dedication, and dedication of each person who, with their service, has left indelible marks on the pharmacy's trajectory.
"Farmacia Cristiana is not just a chain of pharmacies, it is a family legacy of faith, work, and service. Today we renew the commitment to continue serving, thinking of you, with the certainty that this legacy will continue to flourish in the coming generations," Montás highlighted.
During the event, a tribute was paid to the former general manager, Meris Yonis Martich, for her leadership that has marked generations and driven the family business.
Special anniversary announcements
In the framework of the celebration, the administrative and financial director, Melissa Francisco, shared three announcements that mark the future of the institution: the birth of the SEF Foundation, created to formalize, channel, and expand the scope of the social responsibility actions that the Francisco Martich family has been developing for decades. The Foundation will allow multiplying the impact on health, education, and community development projects, strengthening the company's commitment to San Cristóbal and the region.
Also, the El MERIS Award, created in December 2024, in honor of co-founder Meris Yonis Martich, was officially presented. El MERIS is a special resource fund for the collaborators of Farmacia Cristiana, intended to recognize not only outstanding performance, but also the human quality and the values of empathy, passion, and service that distinguish the pharmaceutical family.
In addition, several social projects in favor of the community were announced, as well as special promotions to improve access to medicines, including a 20% discount on generic products and allied brands, and the "60th Anniversary Bi-Weekly Promotion", which includes the delivery of bi-weekly prizes and a final draw for major prizes.
Six decades of growth and social commitment
Under the direction of the Francisco Martich family for more than 40 years, the company has maintained a distinctive seal based on close treatment, affordable prices, extended hours, and a comprehensive service that responds to the needs of the community.
