Boca Chica. - Merchants from this town supported the initiative launched by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, which includes a community works and renovation of public spaces plan.
During the activity, they expressed that it is a concrete step to transform the municipality and strengthen tourism.
"We are here supporting the initiative of this great project, to move from words to deeds. Today it is already beginning with numbers. What we are doing is the remodeling of the churches, the children's park, the POLITUR offices and the beach next to the Boca Chica boardwalk," they indicated.
It was pointed out that the interventions will also directly impact Andrés Boca Chica, the area where the majority of the residents live and where the tourists who sustain the local economy are concentrated.
"Because here in Boca Chica, in Andrés, is where the population is, the tourists who are the ones who sustain the municipality of Boca Chica," they added.
They also highlighted that these works will boost the economy of the entire area.
"There is going to be a great development of works; in terms of productivity, all this is going to boost the economy," they concluded.
