PN stops two men in Puerto Plata with an air pistol and an occupied motorcycle

Puerto Plata.- Members of the National Police (PN) arrested yesterday in the municipality of Imbert, Puerto Plata province, two men aged 28 and 21, who were found with an air pistol (CO₂) used to shoot plastic balls (BBs), as well as the motorcycle they were riding. The detainees are Carlos Manuel Infante Vera, 28 years old, and Emmanuel Peralta Martínez, 21, who were traveling on a Bajaj motorcycle on the main Puerto Plata-Navarrete highway.

At the time of the intervention, agents of the DICRIM and the Preventive Police seized from the first of the arrested a compressed air pistol, black in color, brand Smith & Wesson P.M9-M2.0. When questioned, he stated that he had acquired it for the sum of RD$5,000 from a man identified only as "Alberto", alleging that he bought it because he works as a debt collector in a company. The detainees, along with the seized items, were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
