Santo Domingo.- The XXVII Santo Domingo International Book Fair (FILSD 2025) will be held from September 25 to October 5 in the Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte, with the Latin American Literary Fairs and Festivals Network as the guest of honor and a central tribute to the outstanding historian Frank Moya Pons. The announcement was made on Tuesday night during a press meeting led by the Vice Minister of Cultural Identity and Citizenship of the Ministry of Culture, Ramón Pastor de Moya, and the director of Book Fairs, Joan Ferrer. Pastor de Moya highlighted that dedicating this edition to Frank Moya Pons is also a way of honoring all Dominican historians.

"He is the best-selling and most-read writer in our country," the official emphasized.

The organizers announced that this edition will mark a milestone by receiving, for the first time, representatives from events such as the Madrid Book Fair, the Buenos Aires FIL, and the Bogota FIL, as well as writers linked to the Vargas Llosa Chair.

“Nuestro país será cita, como nunca, de uno de los eventos internacionales más importantes”,

Among the international publishing houses that confirmed their attendance are Grupo Editorial Planeta, Grupo Anaya, Fondo de Cultura Económica, Ediciones Akal, Sial Pigmalión, Huerga & Fierro, Páginas de Espuma and the University of Salamanca, among many others.
