Miami.- At least six people died and the attacker was arrested after a shooting in Mississippi, a state in the southern United States, the motives of which are still unknown, local authorities reported this Saturday. “Unfortunately, we have dealt with tragedy in our community. Multiple innocent lives were lost due to violence. We have the individual (alleged responsible) in custody and he no longer represents a threat to our community,” Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott reported on Facebook. The officer did not detail the identity of the victims or the alleged attacker, stating that the investigation is ongoing, but local media reported that the shootings occurred in three different locations between Friday night and Saturday morning. «I ask that you lift your prayers for our victims and their families. Officers are busy investigating and will release an update as soon as possible», Scott concluded in his one-paragraph statement.
