The franchise of Marvel's most popular symbiote will take a new turn with the development of an animated film centered on Venom, according to recent reports from the film industry.
The project would be spearheaded by Sony Pictures Animation, the division responsible for hits like the animated Spider-Verse saga. Although production is in its early stages, the studio has already begun creative discussions to define the narrative and visual approach of the film.
The direction would fall to "Zach Lipovsky" and "Adam B. Stein", filmmakers known for their work in the horror saga "Final Destination". Their experience in handling tension and narrative rhythm could bring a different tone to the antihero universe.
One of the main questions revolves around the possible participation of Tom Hardy, who played Eddie Brock in the live-action trilogy released between 2018 and 2024. So far, it has not been confirmed whether the actor will reprise the character as the main voice in the animated version or if he will have some role as a producer.
