Santo Domingo.- The Colombian singer J Balvin and the Dominican Omega released this Thursday the song ‘KLK’, an electronic merengue theme that is “anchored by the hypnotic chorus ‘que lo wa, que lo que’”, traditional in the Caribbean country.
Balvin's team stated in a press release that this new song is "a powerful electronic merengue anthem designed to ignite the global music scene."
“Combining the frenetic energy of merengue with modern electronic production, ‘KLK’ pulsates with vibrant rhythms and an irresistible style that is impossible to ignore. It is a song that captures the pure essence of the signature of the ‘King of Mambo’, Omega, while infusing it with a futuristic touch that only J Balvin is capable of manifesting,” adds the statement.
The song was released one day before the Colombian's performance at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, as part of his ‘Back to the Rayo’ tour through North America, in which he has already performed in cities such as New York, Miami and Chicago.
This tour will continue with performances in San Jose, Sacramento, and Seattle, before concluding in Portland on May 17.
“With his North American tour coming to an end, J Balvin is now preparing to perform on international stages this summer, with stops in Italy, France, Japan, and Mexico, among other countries,” the note concludes.
