"Welcome; this is your home," said the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Samir Xaud, upon his arrival, who accompanied him during the tour.

Ancelotti paused for a few moments in front of the wax statues of Pelé and Zagallo, two of the greatest idols of the national team, and commented on the jersey with the number 10 worn by Raí in the 1994 World Cup.

"I am very honored," stated Ancelotti, alongside Xaud, newly elected as leader of the CBF, after the judicial dismissal of his predecessor.

The Italian coach made his first call-up on Monday to face Ecuador on June 5 and Paraguay on the 10th, within the framework of the World Cup qualifiers.

For those encounters, Ancelotti will have players with whom he worked during his time at Real Madrid, such as Vinícius Jr. and Casemiro, and others he doesn't know personally, like the young star of Palmeiras, Estêvão.

The coach stated during the press conference that his main mission is to lift another World Cup, a trophy that Brazil last won in 2002, and that he took this as a "great responsibility".

The Italian will be the fourth foreign coach of the Canarinha and the first in the last 60 years.
