Russia will actively participate in creating a fair system of relations in Asia

Moscow plans to actively participate in the construction of a system of international relations in the Asia-Pacific region, announced Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a welcome message to the participants of the X Eastern Economic Forum to be held from September 3 to 6 in the city of Vladivostok, in the Russian Far East. "Russia is willing to engage in constructive dialogue with all interested partners and intends to actively participate in collective efforts to build a just system of international relations in the Asia-Pacific region based on genuine equality and respect for the legitimate interests of each one," reads the text published this Thursday by the Kremlin. In the same vein, Putin emphasized that, "as the center of global economic activity shifts increasingly towards the Asia-Pacific region, new opportunities are opening up to establish mutually beneficial links between the states of this part of the planet, not only bilaterally, but also within the framework of partnerships such as the SCO and BRICS." "I trust that the forum participants, representatives of government agencies and local authorities, entrepreneurs, experts, and public figures from dozens of countries, will be able to thoroughly discuss current issues on the regional and international agenda and define new forms and mechanisms for joint work," summarized the Russian leader.
