INAIPI announces modification of protocol for receiving complaints

Santo Domingo.– The National Institute for Comprehensive Care for Early Childhood (INAIPI) announced the implementation of modifications to the protocol for receiving reports of cases involving children aged 0 to 5 years, reaffirming its commitment to the protection of children in compliance with Law 136-03, which creates the Code for the Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents. Among the measures contemplated in the new strategy are:

  1. Strengthening of reporting channels, in order to make them visible and ensure effective reception, even when the information arrives informally.
  2. Strengthening of inter-institutional alliances, through direct coordination with the National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI), the Public Ministry and other entities.
  3. Awareness and communication campaign aimed at generating commitment in addressing cases of domestic violence.
  4. Community meetings aimed at identifying situations of child abuse and physical and mental health problems in families, for referral to the corresponding authorities.
  5. Promotion of responsibility and ethical commitment, encouraging immediate response to any eventuality.
  6. Prevention and protection campaign through the media, accompanied by internal training processes aimed at INAIPI collaborators.
  7. Implementation of a consequences regime for cases of negligence in the processing of incidents or complaints.
The Executive Directorate emphasized that these changes seek to guarantee the comprehensive protection of early childhood, ensuring that each report received translates into effective and timely actions in favor of children.
