INDOMET predicts stable conditions with isolated showers this weekend

Santo Domingo.- The weather conditions will begin to improve today in a large part of the country, as the frontal trough continues to move away from the national territory. A mostly sunny sky will prevail, with slight increases in cloudiness. However, isolated showers will be recorded in the morning in provinces such as Samaná, Hato Mayor, San Pedro de Macorís, El Seibo, La Romana and La Altagracia. In the afternoon, these passing rains, of weak to moderate intensity, could occur in Santo Domingo, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Elías Piña, San Juan and nearby areas. For tomorrow, Saturday, good weather conditions are expected in almost the entire country, with a mostly sunny environment and little cloud cover. This pattern will be associated with the influence of a high-pressure system and an air mass with low moisture content. Only isolated showers are expected, caused by wind drag, in provinces such as Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, Monseñor Nouel and La Vega, mainly during the afternoon. Temperatures will remain cool and pleasant, especially at night, early morning, and the first hours of the morning, particularly in mountainous areas and inland valleys, where fogs and mists typical of the winter season could form.
