120 migrants arrive in Venezuela on a repatriation flight from Miami

Caracas.- A total of 120 migrants arrived this Monday in Venezuela on a repatriation flight from Miami, United States, reported the Gran Misión Vuelta a la Patria, the state program that manages returns to the South American country.

In his Telegram channel, he detailed that, of the total repatriated, 101 are men, 17 women and two children, who received "all the necessary protocols", according to Vuelta a la Patria.

This flight is number 109 since Caracas and Washington signed a migration agreement at the beginning of last year, which was maintained even amid tensions over the US military deployment in the Caribbean Sea. The plane was operated by the American airline Global X and landed at the Simon Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, which serves Caracas, according to official images. Last Friday, a plane with 311 Venezuelan migrants repatriated from the United States arrived in Venezuela, as part of the Great Homeland Return Mission. The flight was operated by the American airline Eastern, from Phoenix, Arizona. According to government figures, more than 20,000 people have returned to the South American country under the Vuelta a la Patria program, which promotes the voluntary return of migrants.
