La Romana.– National Police agents reported the arrest of a minor identified as the alleged perpetrator of the death of a young man in an incident that occurred in the Villa Verde sector, in La Romana.
The victim was identified as Sebastián Melo Beato, 20 years old, who died after being injured in an incident recorded on Bermúdez street in that community.
According to the preliminary report from the law enforcement institution, the incident allegedly occurred due to old personal grudges between the deceased young man and the detained minor.

Following the event, police officers initiated a search operation that culminated in the location and arrest of the teenager, whose name is omitted for legal reasons.
Authorities indicated that the minor will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation on juvenile justice.
