Irán eleva a más de 3.000 los muertos en la guerra con Estados Unidos e Israel

Teherán.- El jefe de la Organización de Medicina Forense de Irán, Abás Masjedi Arani, elevó este jueves a más de 3.000 los muertos en la guerra iniciada por Estados Unidos e Israel el pasado 28 de febrero.

“Hemos perdido a más de 3.000 personas en los ataques enemigos en todo el país”, dijo Masjedi a la agencia Mizan.

La fuente agregó que el 40 % de los fallecidos no pudieron ser identificados inicialmente y que aún trabajan para identificar cadáveres.

En el último mes, Irán no había ofrecido datos del número de muertos en su territorio en la guerra. La última cifra oficial se publicó el 5 de marzo y se situó en 1.230.

Sin embargo, la ONG opositora HRANA, con sede en Estados Unidos, calcula el número de muertos en 3.636, 1.701 de ellos civiles.

Entre los muertos se encuentran numerosos altos cargos, entre ellos el líder supremo de Irán, Alí Jameneí, Alí Lariyani, entonces el secretario del poderoso Consejo de Seguridad Nacional, o el comandante en jefe de la Guardia Revolucionaria, el general Mohammad Pakpur.

Irán y Estados Unido acordaron en la noche del miércoles un alto el fuego de dos semanas en las que negociarán el fin de una guerra que comenzó hace más de cuarenta días.

En el conflicto, Estados Unidos e Israel bombardearon a diario instalaciones militares, nucleares y energéticas, además de lugares civiles como hospitales y universidades en Irán, que respondió con ataques a intereses estadounidenses en la región, países vecinos y con el cierre del estrecho de Ormuz, que ha tenido consecuencias en la economía global.
