Santo Domingo.– Sports communicator Franklin Mirabal experienced a moment of deep emotion during the celebration of the 34th anniversary of Impacto Deportivo, where he ended up crying when remembering his career and the support provided to new generations of journalism.
"I celebrate with satisfaction that I have supported many young chroniclers," Mirabal expressed before breaking down in tears. The most emotional moment came when she saw on stage three communicators she supported from the beginning: Sussy Jiménez, Karen Ozuna and Natacha Carolina Peña, who today stand out in the media. "Almost 40 years ago I went to HIZ, in El Conde, and asked Ramón Cuello for an opportunity. "I am proud to see Karen, Sussy, and Natacha shine," he added through tears.
The event also celebrated the 30th anniversary of the television version and the 34th anniversary on radio of Impacto Deportivo. During the activity, the new digital project “El Podcast Inteligente”, a new stage of the program, was announced.
New talents were also introduced: David Terrero as a basketball analyst and Stewart Hernández for the podcast.
Impacto Deportivo has been broadcast on stations such as HIZ, Onda Musical and Radio Continental, with a great impact on Rumba 98.5, Zol 106.1 and currently on Caliente 104.1 FM.
In television, it started on Telesistema, Channel 11, then went through several channels like 13, 21, 23, Super Canal and CDN 37, until reaching CDN Deportes.
In almost 39 years of career, Franklin Mirabal has received around 37 awards, consolidating himself as an influential figure in Dominican sports journalism.
Special programs are prepared on radio, TV, and YouTube about this important celebration.
